Attention CTA Members : Update
Fellow CTA Member, You will receive this in the mail:
As our organization continues to evolve and move forward I am calling upon your will and courage to match our future commitments. Our priority will always be to protect the trapping heritage [our cause] through the showing of gratitude towards the trappers that have come before us, to those who will succeed us and to all of us that are dedicated to the cause. It is with this I call your attention to two items: (1) the Annual Raffle and (2) our pending Constitution & By-Laws Change to be voted on at the Fall Rendezvous.
The Annual Raffle - Enclosed you will find tickets for this year’s raffle. As you can see the ticket price has increased to $2 per ticket. This increase eases many financials costs associated with conducting our raffle. The raffle will commence on September 8th and conclude on November 7th. All tickets/monies must be returned by November 6th and once again Laure and Jules Perrault will be donating $50 gift cards to the top two sellers! On behalf of the entire membership I thank you Laure and Jules. The raffle proceeds aid us in preserving our trapping heritage for future generations as we remain ever vigilant prepared to fight any legislation that would negate the trapping heritage.
Constitution & By-Laws change / Fall Rendezvous- this year’s rendezvous will be held on October 10th at the Fin, Fur and Feather Club located in Chaplin, CT. At the rendezvous the membership will exercise its voting right to adopt revisions within our constitution and by-laws. As you will find the Constitution & By-Law Committee, chaired by Tip Garrit has placed a strong emphasis on member conduct. You can review the proposed changes on the CTA website. If anyone requires a “hard copy” please contact Laure. Copies will also be available at the rendezvous.
There are a two other commitments forthcoming: (1) Advanced Trapper Training – 12 September and (2) D.E.E.P. National Annual Hunting & Fishing Day – 26 September. If interested in solidifying these commitments please contact me.
On behalf of the CTA President, the Executive Committee, the Fall Rendezvous Committee and the Constitution & By-Laws Committee I thank you in advance for all your efforts and look forward to seeing you at these upcoming events!
Yours in Conservation Through Association,
Alex Breen Jr.
