Attendance: Scott Kneeland, Fred Becker, Bill Harrell Rob Lee, Jules & Laure Perreault, Tip Garrett, Fred Rich, John McGrath, Donna Peck. Treasurers Report read motion made and accepted Executive Report: Fred, Scott & Rob met with DEEP, Bill was unable to attend. Volunteer beaver trapping issues were discussed at length. Chris Vann will now notify DEEP Dispatch of special permits and not just the district Sergeant. Possibly a mentor program to help the future number of available volunteer trappers. Howard Kilpatrick is working on new Fisher tags. County Directors Report: Fred Rich talked about us at the Woodstock fair. CCAC Report: no meeting until September Old Business: Awards were named and voted on The changes to the Constitution and By-Laws were discussed. Meeting adjourned 8:57

Minutes of the  January 22,2020 Meeting Called to order at 7:03 P. M. Attendance:   Fred Becker Jr., Fred Becker Sr., Scott Kneeland, Jules Perreault, Laure Perreault, Bill Harrell, Rob Lee, Fred Rich, Jacob Gregory, Don Dandelski, Tom Hart, Scott Ballou, David Shepeck, Ray Peck, Donna Peck, Bob Andryzeck, Tip Garritt, Rich Orlando. Minutes of the November meeting were read, Jules moved to accept Fred Becker Sr. second, motion passed Treasurers report was read Fred Rich moved to accept pending audit, Scott Kneeland seconded, motion passed. President’s report: Fred Becker Jr. explained that Capt. Williams comment was not correct and he did not say the quoted conversation that was published. It was common opinion that we would not pursue any further action at this time. Possum issue earlier last year was determined to be a home owner that improperly placed a trap to protect his garden. The 83 year old home was spoken too and advised on proper trap placement. We thanked those who have taken on young trappers as a mentor program. Vice President Report:  Jules gave a update on last years trapping classes and all instructors will have a meeting on February 9th. with Tom Donlon to set the class schedule for the 2020 training season. Bill Harrell went over the pamphlet and we will add the web site address. Fred Rich and Tip Garritt spoke on the Farm Bureau luncheon they attended. CCAC Report: nothing special at this time. NTA: Rob Lee stated that there will be a election for Vice President position between Buell and Freidrich . FTA: Fred Becker Jr. spoke on the Environmental Committee. Bob Andryzeck spoke about the upcoming sportsman shows and the positions that needed to be filled. Annual fur sale will be April 4th at the Fin Fur and Feather Club in Chaplin again. Tom Gebo  will be there and we agreed to do a 50/50 raffle. Laure had a sample of the new life time members cards that we will be using. The lobbyist with the NWCO’s has no contract as of yet, they will let us know how much money we need to contribute. Laure is still trying tirelessly to get the issue with the magazine’s resolved. Membership cost as follows: $25.00 regular membership $48.00 regular 2 year membership $10.00 junior membership $350.00 life membership Advanced trappers training will be on June 7th at Meriden Rod & Gun Club. Minutes of Nov 27 2019 meeting called to order at 7:08pm Attendance: Fred Becker Jr, Fred Becker Sr, Jules Perreault, Tip Garritt, Rob Lee, and Scott Kneeland. Minutes were read and motion made and accepted to accept minutes. Treasurers report was read motion made to accept for audit motion passed. New Business: New table runners received and a motion to order 2 more. Motion was accepted. Rick Schoonover to send 30 copies of Trapping & Fur Bearer Mngmnt by Tom Decker. These will be put into package to be delivered to the Environment Committee. Tip Garritt and Fred Rich attended the 100th Farm Bureau anniversary meeting. Steve Revitisky suggested that the MWCO Assoc. join the Farm Bureau. Jules Perreault spoke on our trapper education classes. We have held 6 classes last year. Tom Gebo will be attending the April Fur sale. NTA report from Rob Lee, Dan Eaton resigned Jim Buell from to fill vacancy. Motion to adjourn and passed at 8:49pm Respectfully submitted Scott Kneeland

October 30, 2019 Meeting Called to order at 7:10 P.M. Attendance: Fred Becker Jr., Fred Becker SR., Jules Perreault, Laure Perreault, David Shepeck, Tip Garritt, Donna Peck, Ray Peck, Bob Andryzeck, Bill Harrell, Rob Lee, Fred Rich, Don Dandelski, Scott Balou, Scott Kneeland. Minutes of the October convention were read. Bill Harrell moves to accept, Fred Rich seconded. Motion passed. Treasurers report read, Scott Kneeland moved to accept pending audit, Fred Rich Seconded. Motion passes. New Business:  Jim Critchley Scholarship to be one $750 candidate. David Shepeck is the new Litchfield County Director. Alex Breen to stay as FTA Director & Public Relations Director. Herb Sobanski of the Connecticut Fur Harvesters proposed changes to the CCAC to the beaver season and coyote land trapping season. We went over our new CTA pamphlet and made minor changes before printing. Bill Harrell has been in contact with the Greenwood Fur Co. about policies and possible pick up of fur. All fur handling is on their web site. Laure Perreault asked if we wanted to increase the dues by $2, it was decided against. We will be stopping the magazines completely and handle our own membership renewal. And eventually renew all members in the same month. Fred Rich suggests that we ask for donations in our web site and Facebook page. Laure Perreault got back prices and proofs  on banners for the table runners. Jules Perreault moved to buy one table runner 96”x60” Bob Andryzeck seconded. Motion passed. Next meeting is on November 27, 2019 Scott Kneeland moved to adjourn, Fred Rich seconded. October 5, 2019 Minutes, Convention Meeting and Election Attendance: Fred Becker Jr., Fred Becker Sr., Fred Rich, Rob Lee, Scott Kneeland, Bob Andryzeck, Jules Perreault, Laure Perreault, Bill Harrell, Tip Garrett, John McGrath. Al Potter.  Many members and guests. Called to order @ 10:00 A.M. First order of business was the raffle drawing. Guest Rick Schoonover spoke on the importance of continued vigilance on our fight to preserve trapping in Connecticut and help stop the threat to all the remaining New England States. How important it is to grow our membership. Treasurers report was read, Fred Rich moved to approve, Scott Kneeland second. Motion passed pending audit. Minutes of the last meeting were read, Fred Rich moved to accept, Bob Andryzeck second. Old Business; Fred Rich spoke on the Woodstock Fair and Ag Day and the importance of our attendance. He thanked everyone for their help and support. New Business; Jules donated a Fisher and mink mount for our display. A special thank you to David Whitney for donating his time and skill to complete the mounts and to Jules Perreault for paying for the materials and providing the animals. Bob Andryzeck spoke on the need for fur clothing display and posters for our booth at the Hartford and Springfield shows. Our motto will be “Nothing Wasted” Guest Speaker DEEP Paul Rego spoke on the bobcat program and said there will be no tag and collar this season. Next season will most likely be only the Farmington Valley. Paul also spoke on the on going bear problems and the rapid growth of the bear population. He also said there appears to be  a decline in Fisher population and the harvest next season will be reduced from 4 to 2. Awards were presented. Junior Trapper Will Lee, Trapper of the year Nate Sherry, Trappers hall of fame Rob Lee, George Finch Fred Becker Sr. Election of Officers, only nominees were Fred Becker President, Jules Perreault Vice President West, Bill Harrell Vice President East, Laure Perreault Secretary, Laure Perreault Treasurer. There was no discussion or nominations from the floor. All officers were elected to a full term. Motion to adjourn Scott Kneeland, seconded Bill Harrell motion passed Adjourned 11:19 A.M. September 25, 2019 minutes Meeting called to order 7:00P.M. In Attendance: Fred Becker Jr., Fred Becker SR., Bill Harrell, Jules Perreault, Laure Perreault, Tip Garrett, Scott Kneeland, Rob Lee, Bob Andryzeck, Ray Peck, Donna Peck, Stefan Churyk. Minutes of the August meeting were read. Motion made a motion to accept, Tip Garrett second. Treasurers report read. Motion to accept pending audit by Bill Harrell, second Tip Garrett. Discussion;  Dave Shepeck will also sit on the legislative committee that was formed.  Ag day at the Woodstock fair grounds was a good turnout with positive feedback. The Connecticut outdoor event at Hammonasset was a great success. Old Business; Convention on October 5 we have no cook as of yet, members will need to step up and fill in.  The meeting will begin at 9:00 A.M. election of officers will be at 9:45, the raffle will be drawn at 10:00 as required by our permit.10:15 Jason Hawley biologists from the DEEP will update us on the bobcat program. Skinning demonstrations will follow outside. New Business; The NTA membership drive was explained by Rob Lee. Laure Perreault brought up raffle  discussion to change from gift cards to cash,  Motion made and passed. Fred Rich volunteered to cover the Ag Day on Sept 21. May, 2019 Meeting was called to order at 7:15.  In attendance were Jules Perreault, Bob Andryzeck, Fred Rich , Scott Ballow, Michael Toffness , Scott Kneeland, Tom Hart, and Rob Lee.                                                                                Motion to accept treasurers report for audit was made and passed. Motion was made and passed to accept minutes from last meeting Fred Becker, Jr. and Laure Perreault were unable to attend due to giving an educational grant on the same night.  The CTA awarded two grants this year, each in the amount of $750.00. The state DEEP Outdoor Day will be held at Hammonasset State Park in the Nature Center this year. Motion was made and passed to conclude the meeting at 8:27

April 2019 Meeting called to order7:02.  In Attendance Fred Becker Jr, Fred Becker Sr, Jules Perreault, Bob Andryzeck, Fred Rich Scott Baiilou, Scott Kneeland, Tom Hart, Ray & Donna Peck, Tip Garrett and Rob Lee. Motion to accept Treasurers report for audit made and passed. Motion to accept minutes from last meeting made and passed. Fred Rich gave Fred Becker an application for a booth at the Woodstock Fair. Nothing new to discuss on legislation.  We will have to wait until the session ends on June 5th to see if an amendment is raised with anti-trapping language. It was discussed and decided on by the Board that the Raffle will consist of gifts cards only. DEEP has a meeting scheduled for May 29 to discuss new game regs, CTA strongly supports lowering the Fisher harvest from 4 to 2 yrly. Motion made and passed to conclude the meeting at 8:57. March 2019 Meeting called to order 7:02. It was discussed that everyone on the Environment Committee should get emails for each of us again. Mike Ose spoke about our testimony and how legislation works in the CGA. There was a good turnout at the Springfield Sportsmen Show and the CTA reached out to many people regarding the proposed anti trapping legislation. Motion made and passed to conclude meeting at 9:17. Fred Jr spoke to the assembled members about the Education Grant that the CTA revived and gave to a recipient this year. Awards were given as follows : Trapper Hall of Fame Mark Veilloux Trapper of the Year Al Jones Certificates of Appreciation were given to Ray & Donna Peck, Roger Zemek, Austin Marks and Alex Breen. Founding members present were presented with a plaques that will hang on the wall at Fin Fur and Feather Club they were Tom Hart- Tip Garritt and Fred Becker Sr. Guest speaker Rep Doug Dubitsky spoke about getting more kids involved with trapping. He also spoke about educating the state reps in our districts on trapping. Jason Hawley and Paul Rego from the DEEP gave a presentation on the bobcat study. Very interesting stuff. Treasurers report was read and a motion to accept treasurers report for audit was made and passed. Olson’s Trappers Weekend was reported slow due to weather. Bill Harrell will man a booth for the CTA at Herkimer convention. *Sept 8 will be the Advanced Trapper Training class *Sept 29 will be annual convention at the Fin, Fur & Feather Clun in Chaplin. *Sept 22 will be DEEP Outdoor Day at Franklin. CTA will have a booth. *Oct 27 is proposed date for the CTA kids day at the Meriden Rod & Gun Club. Kids will eat free that day so bring out your kids. All traps and equipment donated by Pat Quinn will be at the convention for sale on Sept 29. Motion was made and passed to conclude the meeting at 8:48. Minutes submitted by Rob Lee

Details for the fur auction are the following: no commission to be paid by sellers for fur, no license to buy will be provided by CTA and door opens at 7. Motion was made and passed to provide 1 yr. membership for any child under 16 years of age who attends CTA event and is not currently a member. Rick Schoonover, Ron Leggett and Toby Edwards will all be given honorary Lifetime Memberships for their contributions to the CTA. Motion was made and passed to conclude the meeting at 8:17. Motion was made to accept minutes and was passed. Motion to accept treasurers report for audit was made and passed. Pasta dinner will be fundraiser for NTA trip. There will be a gun raffle at the dinner there will be a M&P shield 9mm and a Mossberg shotgun. Bear raffle is in process. 56 tickets need to be sold to break even. CTA will not attend Sportsmen’s Day at the LOB. Motion was made and passed to conclude the meeting at 8:42
